Web & Software Developer
Hi, I'm James - a husband, father and software developer living in the beautiful county of Worcestershire. I love code & creating intuative, user-friendly, visually-pleasing solutions to problems.
I am currently available for hire for design, web and other software projects - you can see some examples of my work below. If you like what you see, please consider getting in touch with me - I'd love to work with you.
GeneRally an arcade racing game for 1-6 players in the style of many older top-down arcade racing games in the style of the classic arcade racing games. It is heavily focussed around simplistic gameplay and local multiplayer races. The game is supported by a community of thousands of dedicated racers creating custom cars and tracks.
In June 2014, GeneRally 2 was launched on Kickstarter to finance the development process through to completion. With a funding target of only £20,000, the project is aiming to once again popularise the top-down racing game as incredible fun for friends and family, both young and old.
I developed new branding and a new website for a UK-based charity building schools and providing education in Burundi, Central Africa. The website was designed to handle the charity's incoming single and recurring donations and to provide a up-to-date project information for donors.
"For a charity like ours, our website is a key area. James' interaction with us at every phase of the website's continuing evolution has made a real and positive difference to the effect of our online presence."
I worked with GoApe's team, in the UK and the US, to assist in the development and maintenance of both front-end and back-end systems.
I designed a web presence for Madrid-based photographer Owain Shaw, to showcase his superb portfolio of artistic photography.
I-Q Radio Limtied
I was contracted to design a complete branding solution for I-Q Radio Limited, a company providing radio technology solutions to businesses, governments and military partners around the world.
"James produced a very professional and user-friendly website for our company and we were very happy with the diligent service and advice we received during its creation."
Steven Ring, Director
I was contracted to build the infrastructure for Hawkwye Racing's website and assist in the final stages of the design process.
The brief was to work with the existing artwork and designs available to create a highly-functional website, powered by a content management system for easy updating.
"I was very impressed with the quality of work produced. James was very helpful, giving me updates on the progress of the work, as well as actively suggesting ways in which the site could be improved."

Malvern Vale Residents' Group
This residents' group asked me to design them a logo that gave a real visual representation of the community and its situation in the Malvern Hills.
I provided a bright, distinctive logo, which is easily recognisable and affords the residents' group an official 'seal of approval'.
