So, I finally got around to merging my portfolio website and my blog into one. I’ve spent ages deciding whether that was a good idea or not, and whether it came across as ‘professional’ – but, now I’m certain that the right choice has been made, and that my blogging is an asset to me, rather than of detremental effect.
In the process of creating this amalgam, I redesigned the site somewhat – it’s based on the WP-Candy theme, but is (as usual with me) heavily modified. I’m especially pleased with the JS hover effects on the menu at the top (sorry Safari users, but they’re not 100% correct for you – but, if Safari supported simple scroll-offset params, it wouldn’t be a problem) – especially as I did them at nearly 3am, and they’re pretty much bug-free.
Do let me know what you think, and please do tell me of any bugs or glitches I’ve failed to pick up on

The colours are ghastly. Less pink please
I’m still deciding what to do with the links on the right – I don’t like them being pink, to be honest (at least not so obviously).
You’ll be pleased to notice that the majority of the immediately-visible pink is gone. It’s mainly only used for hover-effects now.
Rather a nice layout. It definitely beats the last two. However pretty the roll-overs are at the top, they are completely pointless. The links are self-explanatory and the bubbles add no extra information. As if no one knows what the word ‘contact’ means. Pssh.
I’ll grant you that one. The idea was pretty much to offer more than just colour-highlighting as visual feedback for rollovers.
