About
“Prove to me you have faith when you are doing nothing. I will prove to you I have faith by doing things.”
James (2:18 - NLV)
I’m James, a Christian, web developer and Computer Science student, currently living near Cardiff, UK. I am the Director of Media and Tech for RaceSimCentral D.S.I. and the Editor-in-Chief of their online publications. I have been doing motorsport and sim-racing journalism for the past four years - and find it is a relaxing way to spend my time.
I was born in Bristol, UK, and so some may argue that I haven’t moved far over the course of my life - but that wouldn’t be entirely true. I spent four years, with my family, living in Johannesburg, South Africa, doing relief/charity work for a humanitarian aid charity. And whilst those were some of the best days of my life to date, I’m glad I’m not living in the same place now.
At present, I am in a relationship with a wonderful woman called Kate, whom you will often find me refer to in blog posts.
In my spare time (what little of it that I get these days) I enjoy theology, reading, programming, watching motorsports and playing various sports (such as cricket and tennis). I can often be found digging up books by great thinkers such as Søren Kierkegaard; programming something entirely useless… but that seems interesting at the time; or even spending hours doing some sim-racing.
At present, I am studying for a BSc in Computer Science at Cardiff University, which will be complete in mid-2009. Following this, I hope to attend Regents Theological College to study for a BA in Theology.
This blog contains my thoughts on life, technology, my faith and much more.
